Dementia and Aged Care Services Australia (DACS) is a leading not-for-profit organisation providing a range of high quality aged care services across New South Wales
About Dementia and Aged Care Services Australia (DACS)
DACS provides individually tailored services to enable older people, and those living with dementia, to maintain their independence and to support their wellbeing. Although DACS has specialised expertise in dementia and cognitive decline, our services are available to all people eligible for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
You or a loved one may need help following an injury, hospitalisation, or require ongoing support to facilitate a safe home environment and connections with family and friends.
DACS offers both on-going and short-term programs which can be designed to get people back on their feet and feeling confident again in their own home. We can also provide support on a temporary basis should a carer be unwell or unavailable.
All DACS team members are skilled and experienced in providing services to older Australians. They are individually matched with each client, to provide the highest quality, personalised service, ensuring piece of mind for individuals and their families.
DACS offers a uniquely wide range of aged care services, which means one single point of contact across multiple services for clients, resulting in a smaller and more familiar set of people entering their homes.
Accessing DACS services does not require referral from a healthcare professional. However DACS only accepts applicants who have been assessed and approved through the Government’s My Aged Care (MAC) Portal. DACS can help you navigate this process by calling us on 1800 322 767.
As a registered COVID Safe business, DACS follows the most reliable and up-to-date medical advice to protect its much-valued clientele from contracting COVID-19.
DACS is operated by Alzheimer’s Queensland, an Australian Government approved aged care provider, and the country’s largest dementia association.
