DACS provides Individual Social Support to help you or your loved one stay socially connected, engaged, and independent. Our trained staff offer flexible, person-centred support based on your interests, routines, and goals.
Support can be provided in your home or in the community and may include help to attend social activities, appointments, and community events. Staff can accompany you to places such as the doctor, dentist, hairdresser, shops, or when visiting family and friends. We can also assist with arranging visits and maintaining regular social contact.
In-home social support may include reading books or newspapers, help with letter writing and correspondence, regular welfare checks, and support to enjoy hobbies and interests such as cooking or knitting.
Some clients may be eligible for funding to access communication technology, such as tablets, smart devices, or internet services, to help stay connected with family, friends, and the wider community. DACS staff can assist with purchasing, set-up, and learning how to use these devices.

- Accompaniment to social outings, appointments, and everyday activities
- Support to attend community events and social groups
