DACS offers flexible respite services from the comfort of your own home, or out and about, enabling carers time to recharge whilst knowing your loved one is in capable and understanding care.
DACS offers both in-home day respite and community access to individual respite depending on you or your loved one’s needs.
A DACS carer will come to your home to provide care and support, allowing your primary carer to take a break and go out for a few hours. Community access individual respite provides you or your loved one with outings and social experiences to keep you active and engaged within your local community.
DACS flexible respite, which may or may not be in the presence of your carer, includes:
- Companionship and daytime care in your own home
- Spending time in the community, such as going to church, participating in a day program, or attending a Meals on Wheels community restaurant.
